THE VALUE OF INTEGRATED ANATOMIC AND CLINICAL PATHOLOGY ASSESSMENTS IN TOXICOLOGY STUDIES Preclinical studies have multiple subcomponents, each of which generate extensive data that characterize drug candidates for safety and sometimes efficacy. Interpreting the data comes with a variety of challenges, particularly since datasets are often interpreted by different experts at a contract research organization (CRO). Since each expert generates a stand-alone contributor report, the various reports must be consolidated into the final report to gain better and more holistic insights to the overall effects of the test article being evaluated.
